If I am a Jets fan, I have mixed feelings today.
On one hand he gives you more hope than Kelly Clemens or Chad Pennington. But on the other, he’s an overrated, washed-up gunslinger who only won a Superbowl because Desmond Howard had a career day and Otis Smith got beat twice...badly. I think giving away a top pick is a questionable move, but these are the moves that help keep the Pats, Dolphins and Bills in control of that division
The theory that they are trying to create a buzz as they go into their new facility is silly — they have 10-year waitlist for season tickets, so no buzz is needed. A franchise that makes short-sighted moves like this will go nowhere. Clemens is young and could be good if developed. This move is a slap to him and a compete abandonment of him as their QB.
Give the Packers credit — they drew the line and decided the Favre era was over. They also made a great move by acquiring him and then trading him away from their division and ...
