Why Peyton Manning Is My Hero

 
Many kids have their heroes growing up. For some it's Batman or Superman. For me, it has been and will always be Peyton Manning.  In an age of football where the classy men take a back seat to the flashy loud-mouths, Peyton has set himself apart from the very league that is in dire need of more players cut from his mold. The reasons for Peyton Manning being my hero are endless. I love his character, work ethic, morals, accomplishments, and leadership. I was a fan of Peyton Manning before he was the best quarterback in football. It's hard to believe I was but a young fifth grader when I first began watching Peyton and his 3-13 Colts lose week after week in 1998. Heck, that was fine with me. As long as they had  No. 18 behind center, I always maintained that glimmer of hope. It's a good thing too. The hope I placed in Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts paid off more then anyone could imagine after seeing him win the Super Bowl in 2006. I could brag all day long about Peyton ... (link)
