Why We Should Support the United Football League

I previously wrote an article called "Whatever Happened to the Mark Cuban League" because I had heard nothing about the UFL in the news since the rumors about its possible inception, back in March of 2008. Nevertheless, the UFL appears to be gearing up for the fall of this year with four multi-city teams slated for play. And I say, we should support the UFL.  The reason why is that by supporting a league where players play for the love of the game more than the money—that is something this country needs right now, not more stories about steroid-junkies sticking needles in their ass and scratching their shrunken nuts. As I previously stated, I'd like to see the UFL play more like the NFL did in the 1950's and 60's where players often played multiple-positions, and the rules did not heavily favor the passing-game to the detriment of playing a tough game.  You know, the passing game was created in order to save football in the early 20th Century because people believed that the ...
