With Patrick Ewing, Jr. the Legacy Continues

 
In a surprising turn of events the New York Knicks landed Patrick Ewing, Jr. in exchange for the draft rights of Frederic Weis. The French center is currently playing for a Spanish club but is more known for being posterized by Vince Carter in arguably the best dunk ever. Ewing Jr. was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the second round of the 2008 NBA draft at the 43rd pick. He obviously isn't expected to have the same impact as his famous father, however his athleticism and explosive defense may be something the Knicks need coming off the bench. "Coming to the Knicks, and hopefully being able to contribute, means a lot to me," Ewing Jr. said in a statement. "It has always been my dream to play for this team. My goal is to show the coaches that I can play and do all that I can to help the team win some games." The younger Ewing, just like his father, played in Georgetown.
