In the DETROIT FREE PRESS, Shannon Shelton reports, "the Shock recorded a perfect 10 on Wednesday afternoon at the Palace, defeating the Chicago Sky, 66-63, to win their 10th consecutive home game. The Shock (15-7) led the Sky by as many as 23 points midway through the second quarter, but a lay-up from Sky guard Armintie Price with 20.9 seconds remaining pulled Chicago within one, 64-63. Shock guard Alexis Hornbuckle answered, hitting a lay-up after a Cheryl Ford miss to put Detroit up by three with 18.8 remaining. I thought we played good team basketball in the first half,' Shock coach Bill Laimbeer said. Then we started to get selfish, started turning the ball over. And when we play like that, we're not a very good basketball team.' "
