Women's Basketball: Buckeyes given No. 6 Seed in 2008 NCAA Tournament

 
The Ohio State lady buckeyes basketball team are the No. 6 seed in the New Orleans Regional and will play No 11 seed Florida State at 10:30 p.m. ET at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, Saturday, March 22nd in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. The Buckeyes lost in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals to Illinois, but they were the Big Ten regular season Champions. Led by Jantel Lavender, Ashley Trebilcock, Marscilla Packer and Tamarah Riley, the Buckeyes have a lot of talent. Jantel Lavender is the Big Ten Player Of The Year and Freshman Of The Year ; Lavender is also a National Player Of The Year candidate. Sophomore Shavelle Little was dubbed Big Ten Defensive Player Of The Year. Coached by the "master of strategy" Jim Foster, the Buckeyes always have something tricky up their sleeve.
