Would the Real Leader of the Oakland Raiders Please Stand Up?

Tom Cable, the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, approaches a microphone to address the media after the Raiders took Darrius Heyward-Bey with the seventh pick.
These words not exact, but work with me.
Cable: "We felt that this is the guy. We wanted him."
Reporter: "Most likely, Heyward-Bey would be available late in the first round.
Cable: "Well, we wanted him, we didn't want to risk him being taken. So we just felt that we should take him now."
If you noticed, congratulations. But if you didn't, notice Cable always says we.
Meaning what exactly?
That Al Davis, owner of the Raiders, had a hand with this pick.
That does not surprise me, as Davis always likes the fast players (Heyward-Bey's 4.3 40 was the fastest out of every single player in the Combine).
I am a lifelong fan of the Raiders. I watched in horror as Tom Brady's "didn't" pump fake the ball in the 2001 AFC Divisional Playoff Game.
