Wozniacki reaches second round of Slovenia Open

Third-seeded Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark defeated Slovenian wild card Andreja Klepac 7-5, 6-0 Monday to reach the second round of the Slovenia Open. The 18-year-old Wozniacki, who is aiming for her first WTA Tour title, struggled to win the first set against her 105th-ranked opponent before cruising in the second. Fourth-seeded Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain defeated Ekaterina Makarova of Russia 6-1, 6-3. Top-seeded Maria Kirilenko and second-seeded Katerina Srebotnik play on Tuesday. (link)
