Rookie, 2-for-20 entering 10th, singles off Papelbon to win it > So much for missing Johnny Damon. Rookie outfielder Brett Gardner, in the big leagues less than a week, came through with a walk-off RBI single off Red Sox All-Star closer Jonathan Papelbon with two out in the 10th inning last night to give the Yankees a 5-4 win.
