The Yankees have released there Spring Training Schedule for next year. Here is a timeline of all the events that will be going on:
2009 New York Yankees Important Dates Timeline:
Yankees pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report on Feb. 13
The team has their first workout set for Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14 .
The Yankees’ first full-squad workout is scheduled for Feb. 18 .
The New York Yankees will begin their Grapefruit League slate on Feb. 25 against the Toronto Blue Jays (Earliest start in the last 60 years)
The Yankees will play their first home game at George M. Steinbrenner Field on Feb. 26 at 1:15 p.m. ET, hosting the Tampa Bay Rays
On March 3 at 1:15 p.m., the Yankees will host Team USA, and welcome Team Canada on March 5 at 1:15 p.m.
The World Baseball Classic will be played from March 5 through March 23 .
