Yanks 'okay' despite rough trip to Cleveland

 
Two days in Cleveland, two tough losses. Not the end of the world. Sure, they’re 12-13 now, but that’s still one game better than they were last year. A 162-game season is a marathon, not a sprint. You can’t win the pennant in April, and considering the trials and tribulations the Yankees have gone through, 12-13 isn’t too bad. Johnny Damon summed it up after Saturday’s game. “We’re okay. Nothing has gotten away from us this season,” Damon said. “With the number of injuries we’ve had, the bounces haven’t gone our way, but we’re still walking around with our heads up knowing we’re going to be very good.” Ian Kennedy looked like he was on his way to another dreadful start, but he made some adjustments and retired nine of the last 10 batters he faced. Definitely a positive step for the 23-year-old, who earned himself at least one more start to evaluate where he is. The bigger concern right now may be Joba ... (link)
