As you may know by now, yesterday the Yanks signed Morgan Ensberg to a minor league deal and invited him to spring training. Matt at Dugout Central likes the deal , and after some nice analysis concludes Ensberg likely has a better shot at making the team than Nick Green, who probably had the inside track before. Ensberg has been in decline since a great year in '05 , when he belted 36 homers, but can play first or third base, which may be an improvement over Nick Green.
