Yanks to see some old faces in the Windy City

 
Greetings from the President’s Club in Terminal A at Newark Airport. Pleasure to be here. The Yankees’ April road journey continues today with the start of a three-game series at Comiskey Park against the White Sox, then they will travel to Jacobs Field this weekend for a four-game set against the Tribe. The 11-7 White Sox have been a nice surprise this year, a team most people forgot about after the Indians and Tigers were picked to make the playoffs by most experts. Ozzie Guillen’s team had a dreadful 2007 season, but a pitching staff anchored by Javy Vazquez (remember him?), Jose Contreras (remember him?) starts tonight against Chien-Ming Wang, and I would be surprised if the Wanger didn’t rebound nicely from his last disaster against the Red Sox. Vazquez faces former teammate Mike Mussina tomorrow, while Gavin Floyd – who nearly no-hit the Tigers last week – takes on Phil Hughes in the finale. This weekend, the Yankees will see Jake Westbrook, Paul Byrd, C.C. Sabathia and Fausto ... (link)
