Quarterback T.J. Yates has returned to the starting lineup for No. 25 North Carolina for the first time since breaking his left ankle in September. Yates earned the starting job for Saturday's game against rival North Carolina State. He started the first three games for the Tar Heels (7-3, 3-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) before getting injured during a sack against Virginia Tech.
