Yes, there is a good way to lose a series

 
What has frustrated me, and a lot of other Yankee fans, I think, in the five years since Aaron Boone’s ALCS-winning homer is not just that the Yanks haven’t won anything since then, but the way that they’ve lost. While it may have been inevitable for the Yanks to eventually lose to the Red Sox, the way that they did in 2004 was about as tough to take as it is in sports. And ever since then, the Bombers would collapse at the first sign of adversity in the playoffs, and never be able to make a comeback. All that brings me to the Red Sox/Rays series. It was about as exciting a series as I’ve watched in years. And something rare happened - both teams can be proud of their effort. Yes, even the Red Sox. It would have been easy for the Sox to figure that luck wasn’t on their side this year, given that they were down 7-0 in Game 5. Yet they mounted a comeback for the ages, to win that game. And even though they ended up losing the series, they still took it to seven ... (link)
