I decided to try something new with my articles—possibly a weekly occurrence. What I concocted in my brain was a weekly column that pays respect to the idiots in sports or at the very least, something idiotic thing a sports figure does.
This week I have decided to make Monta Ellis the first ever Fred "The F-Bomb" Richani presented Idiot of the Week .
Why is Monta Ellis an idiot, you ask?
Well, Mr. Ellis recently signed a $66 million contract extension with the Golden State Warriors to be their two-guard and leader to a brighter future. Then, Monta Ellis decided to ride a moped and wound up seriously injuring his ankle in an accident involving one.
What is the result?
Ellis is now out until mid-December, but will do so while losing around $3 million n the process.
That is because the Warriors have suspended him for 30 games, due to Ellis apparently violating the terms of his new deal. There may not be specific terms in the context of his contract stating no moped rides, but as ...
