Young trying to curb running game

 
Padres righty Chris Young is tall, and thus slow to the plate. Last season all 44 runners who attemped to steal a base while he was on the mound were successful. But Young has been working on the problem, and didn't allow a runner to steal Wednesday against the Giants. [link]

Colt Morton Making His Case Known

A few years ago, the player on my personal Wizards Watch list was Colt Morton. He intrigued me because he was in a third stint. I don’t think he hit over .150 in the first two tries, but in 2005, he hit .261 with 10 home runs and 46 runs batted in over 222 at-bats. Nowadays, his power is what is drawing attention from many observers.
