Martin Truex Jr. fell far enough to make
both the 11th and 12th seeds vulnerable. Ryan Newman
and Kurt Bush rose to stake their claim, passing Jamie McMurray who fell the furthest. Sandwiched in between is Dale Jr., still cruising along in the 12th seed. His mediocre race was offset by the abysmal finishes of Truex and McMurray.
