Just as everyone anticipated, Tony Stewart announced on
Thursday his decision to depart from his longtime home
at Joe Gibbs Racing to move over to Haas CNC Racing as a full-time driver and 50% owner. Additionally, the team will be renamed Haas CNC Racing in 2009.

be at in 2009 appears as though it could
be quickly approaching. Haas CNC Racing has been the "usual suspect" throughout all of the NASCAR Silly Season talk, but the newly opened seat over at Hendrick Motorsports could be the new frontrunner on pulling Stewart away from Joe Gibbs Racing.
