I love Osi Umenyiora , but let me
succinct. The self-proclaimed 'Chief' needs to shut the hell
up. Osi went on HBO's Inside the NFL Wednesday night and accused New England left tackle Matt Light , whom he matches up against, of playing dirty. ...
Let's look a look at one of the
biggest questions for the Giants heading into training camp.
Do they have anybody who can play fullback on a regular basis? It's a question even offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride isn't sure he has the answer to.
SI.com's Peter King believes the Jeremy Shockey to
the New Orleans Saints talks aren't dead. From King's
Monday Morning Quarterback column today. I think, Giant beat writers, you might sniff around this one: New Orleans is not through trying to acquire Jeremy Shockey.
For me, the most interesting note to come
out of the first full day of New York
Giants raining camp had nothing to do with the action on the field. It had to do, of course, with the Michael Strahan situation. If Strahan is serious about retiring one option to replace him is free agent Simeon Rice. According to Newsday's Ralph Vacchiano, the Giants are looking into doing just that.
So, Michael Strahan feels "betrayed" by the Giants.
I think Strahan has this backwards. To me, the
holdout defensive end is the one betraying his team. By waiting until the eve of training camp to announce that he is contemplating retirement and ...
Is Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn the next
Rick Mirer, or the next Joe Montana? This is
the question many seem to be struggling with as they try to figure out where Quinn will end up when the NFL Draft is held at the end of this month.
We're more than two months from the start
of training camp, and already the 'Tom Coughlin will
be fired after this season' stories are circulating. Citing a 'league source,' Pro Football Talk says Coughlin had no input on draft-day decisions. Enough already! Can we at least start the season before we bury the guy?
Who will be the New York Giants third-down
back? The Giants might want you to believe that
there will be a competition between Brandon Jacobs and Reuben Droughns for the starting spot, but there won't be. Jacobs, the bruising third-year back from Auburn, will be the featured back. Droughns will be his backup. The real running back competition will be for the third back.
Sadly, this will be our final Jessica Simpson
Photo of the Day. Enjoy! There seems to be
an awful lot of pundits saying that if an upset occurs this weekend it will likely be the Giants defeating the Dallas Cowboys. SI.com's ...
I am still floating this morning. Did that
really happen last night? Did the Giants really beat
the Packers? Are they really in the Super Bowl? Wow!!! It figures that it would take overtime for the Giants to dispatch Green Bay. It figures that ...
Mike Vanderjagt endured a frustrating season with Dallas
in 2006, and is currently still without a team
for 2007. Has anybody seen this man's talent? Mike Vanderjagt, as recently as 2005 the most accurate kicker in NFL ...

Let's play a little game. I'll call it
the "Would You Trade Eli Manning For ..." game.
Here's how we'll play. I'll name several young quarterbacks who are at roughly the same stage of their careers as Eli. I'll give you my opinion as to whether or ...
Well, let's review Sunday's debacle -- a 35-13
loss to the Green Bay Packers in our own
unique way, 'Kudos & Wet Willies' style. Kudos to ... As with last week, when the 0-2 Giants lost to the Cowboys, the only 'Kudos' worth doling out are ...
OK, so we don't have to debate whether
or not the 0-2 Giants defense has been atrocious
for two games. It has. The 80 points allowed is all the evidence you need to see that. There are really only two questions at this point. 1. How did the ...
Former New York Giants kicker Jay Feely, now
a member of the Miami Dolphins, has joined the
Tom Coughlin Fan Club. "Without question, that credit (for the Giants' five-game winning streak) has to go to Coach Coughlin," Feely said.
Any other news around the NFL is dwarfed
this morning by the death of Sean Taylor of
the Washington Redskins. Taylor, 24, was shot Monday during a break-in at his home. Known as a tremendously talented, ferocious-hitting yet erratic safety, ...
