of the most influential distance runners in history. The
link I am sending is to runner #2, Roger Bannister who was the first runner in history to break the 4 minute mile. 50 years past his great run, Sir Roger still has an impact on how races are run to this day. Thank you for letting me share this article.

Emil Zatopek is arguably, the greatest distance runner
in Olympic history. He accomplished a feat that will
never be duplicated ever again. He devised training ideas that are still used to this day. His greatest claim to fame may have been giving up one of his gold medals to another runner was never able to accomplish an Olympic victory. Read all about him in this article.
