Make it 11 in a row, that is, 11 losses, simply pathetic.
Some roster Junk: Nationals called up 2005 draft pick Marco Estrada. Estrada replaces Luis Ayala in the bullpen, a role that Estrada has not had since 2006. Estrada has had an impressive year in the minors. Combined between Harrisburg (AA) and Columbus (AAA) Estrada [...]

Jason Taylor seems to be settling into the
DC digs just fine, although he appears to be
most recognizable right now with middle aged and older women. Buy hey, he is getting more recognizable with fellow DE Andre Carter as well. That’s a good thing. Taylor is also enjoying the DC area, but is a little surprised at the attention being received because of his willingness to flip end sides.
Hearing the news of Devin Thomas being cleared
to play in his first game as a Washington
Redskin this past weekend gave me something to look forward to. Even though pre-season games are utterly meaningless in the long haul, and the athletes on the field during this stretch of time are lucky to be recognized by mid-season, it’s always interesting to see how somebody does when their sole job ...
DE Erasmus James, obtained via trade with the
Minnesota Vikings, will make his Washington Redskins debut on
Saturday, a pre-season showdown with the Carolina Panthers.
ESPN asked that question of fans of all
32 NFL teams. Some of the answers were funny/depressing,
such as Bobby Hebert [the ragin' Cajun] being voted the best New Orleans Saint of all time. Others were more predictable, such as Lawrence Taylor being voted the best New York Giant
The Washington Bullets Wizards have announced their preseason
schedule. The team opens preseason on October 7 against
the Dallas Mavericks and also play road preseason games against the Memphis Grizzlies on October 8, the San Antonio Spurs on October 22
First of all, welcome back, Boss Hog. I
saw on local TV last night that Offensive Line
Coach Joe Bugel has returned to work at Redskins Park. It was a touching interview when he spoke about his ill daughter, who is battling cancer
10) Brett Favre is still pretty good. Well
why not start off the column with a little
love for the media Darling. Still under tremendous pressure and less than two weeks of pressure Favre steps in and wings it around like he did late last season.
The Redskins have cut LB Rian Wallace and replaced him with LB David Holloway. Wallace suffered a finger injury in last Saturday’s game that will sideline him for at least the next 3 weeks and that, not performance, is the reason he was released. Holloway is a University of Maryland alum who started 12 of [...]

I don’t know what justification Mangini could come
up with to justify that atrocity of a decision,
but I do know one thing: It’s absolute crap. That game was a hideous bitch-goddess of boredom and Mangini decides to prolong our misery
Watch and enjoy. Highlights can make almost any game seem enjoyable. Even this one.

Columbus Clippers (AAA) fell to first place Louisville 7-5 last night. Leonard Davis was 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs, hitting his 3rd homer. Davis is hitting .344 over his last 10 games with 3 HRs and 8RBIs. His average has risen to .203 after initially struggling in AAA. [...]

Zorn wasn’t too pleased with the passing offense
against the Jets and the first and second team
offenses being unable to complete a pass of more than 13 yards indicates the coach knows what he’s talking about.
You’ll notice on the right sidebar a Video of the Redskins v. Bills game review. Get used to it. We plan to keep an updated Redskins video right there at DCPSR for your vieiwing. Of course, when the Capitals and Wizards start their respective seasons, we will add to the video bar! Enjoy.

First off, Jason LaCanfora from the Post, blogs
that WR Malcolm Kelly’s chances of playing on Sunday
slipped a bit. Kelly has been grappling with hamstring soreness.
What else is new. The Washington Nationals lost
again last night, a nightly regularity. This team stinks,
they just plain stink. In fact, if I was a prospect, I might want to wait until next year to come up, because this is enough to depress anyone.
