It does not happen often...but this post will
have nothing to do with the Bobcats (unfortunately, Jared
Dudley did not manage to get a single vote for Rookie of the year). Today, Queen City Hoops is hosting the rotating "Blogger MVP/ROY Ranking - ...
Queen City Hoops outlines possible sign-and-trade destinations for
Emeka Okafor, the Bobcats' disgruntled free-agent big. Shawn Marion
and Anderson Varejao headline the list.
A rundown of the Bobcats roster - using
Transformers. The analogy that got it started: Jason Richardson
is to Matt Carroll as Galvatron is to Megatron.
How did the league's best, the All-NBA players,
fare against the Bobcats? Pretty well, actually, which is
to be expected. But how did they fare when they played the Bobcats best? Somewhat surprisingly, about the same - no running up the score against the scrubs for Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant?
Godsend. Then a solid contributor. On to a
matador and check-collector. Over the course of 3 months.
Looking at the numbers, for him and the team, since the trade went down. Joe Dumars wins again.
A compilation of links and thoughts on various
prospects, today focusing on Brook Lopez, the Stanford center.
He's tall and probably more athletic than George Zidek. Yeah, that about sums it up.
Thanks Chad Ford - Like Joe Dumars really
needed help ripping of the Bobcats again. After reviewing
your trade proposal, I'm going to have to decline (which probably means the Cats are thinking hard about accepting right now).
Reviewing The Dude. His personal numbers weren't that
great - but the team was better with him
on the floor. Better fit or just better than the alternative?
Emeka is calm and consistent - robotic in
play and demeanor. So why does the team's results
around him seem so manic? One month they are world beaters with him on the court - the next, the worst team in basketball with him playing - despite putting up nearly identical numbers. Bobcats Basketball - It's fantastic - if you're masochistic.
As titled, this post would seem to indicate
that I believe the Bobcats have 4 players to
build on/around. Really, it should either have a question mark at the end, or maybe, well, a "...maybe". Because that is what I am curious about. Do the Bobcats ...
From John Hollinger's outlook on 2007-08 for Raymond
Felton : Felton figures to take another step forward
this season, as even if his finishing troubles persist, his outside shot should continue developing...the Bobcats have added enough scoring that ...
What do the Celtics, Lakers, Spurs, and others
have in common? They are good. The Bobcats are
not. Can the Bobcats follow in the footsteps of these other teams to become great? The magic 8-ball says: My sources say no.

Meritorious Player: Gerald Wallace - 34 points (16 attempts), 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 block, 2 steals. In 43+ minutes, the Bobcats were +16 ...
Hindsight is 20/20, but unfortunately time travel is
not possible, so it does not do much good
as basketball fans to get too worked up over the past. There is value in learning from it though. Take a lesson from James Cole and Marty McFly on this one.
The Bobcats have now played 18 games since
the release of Jeff McInnis - and they are
not losers, which is not something we have been able to say about them often in the franchise's brief history. The Cats are 9 and 9 over those 18 games - even more ...
Every team has one - but not all
MVP's are created equally. This is one of those
cases.
I bashed Jeff McInnis (well, his play) a
fair amount this year. But was he actually better
for the Cats than Matt Carroll? What Emeka and Nazr? Trying to find a better way to compare them led to some surprising results.
A review/preview of the Bobcats players, beginning with
Matt "The Hammer" Carroll. And, no, I don't know
how he got that nickname.
Are the Bobcats destined for an historic season?
Well, if the preseason is any indication, they just
might be the worst offensive team ever. Fortunately, there are reasons for hope and they don't involve MJ coming out of retirement.
