It’s better to engage teams and fans with
the unexpected in Smith, than to prompt opposition to
go blitz crazy and for Ravens’ fans to blitz the exits by naming Boller the starter, again.
Poor John Harbaugh. He’s a rookie head coach with a rookie quarterback everyone knows will be the future of the Ravens’ offense one day. But today, he has two tenured quarterbacks that haven’t shown much thus far in the preseason, and he’s not ready to name either the starter for Saturday’s game against the St. Louis Rams.

Flacco’s accuracy and awareness are terrific on the
game, and he can move pretty good out of

Think about it. No one takes a play
off when Ray Lewis is on the field, or
so goes the local lore. How can you develop a young quarterback when the defense is challenged on every play to yield zero yards? To anyone?
Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times is reporting that Ravens running back Willis McGahee will have arthroscopic knee surgery , but will be available for the season opener on Sept. 7.
It is being described as a “clean-up” procedure, but it is the same knee that required extensive surgery after a vicious hit in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl.
