Jerry Manuel wasn't crazy with the idea of Carlos Beltran bunting last night, giving himself up to provide a RBI chance for Robinson Cancel.
Manuel said he understood, that Beltran wasn't hitting and was trying to make something happen.
It was an unselfish play, which is why I liked it.

It stands to reason that if Tuesday was a crusher, then the need to win last night was greater than normal.
That's how I wrote it in The Journal News.
If they lost last night a lot of the good feelings gained from the winning streak might have been lost.
