Eat it, Waldo! I already said all this
once before , but I think it bears repeating
after last night's exploits. I am the best player in the history of American soccer. Don't believe me? Most goals scored in national team history, check. Most ...
For me, I played baseball and basketball when
I was little. They were okay, but didn't hook
me.--- I played soccer at the local YMCA during the spring of '86 and liked it. --- That summer, I saw the first soccer games on TV that I had ever seen, the 1986 World Cup from Mexico. --- Once I saw guys like Platini, Strachan, Negrete, and Laudrup, I knew I had found something...

Who Ate All the Cupcakes ? --- EJ
is off to Fulham USA to join his partner
in bling. The Dynamic Duo is united at club level for the first time. --- Can they combine their forces to keep Fulham up? --- Should be interesting to watch...
Make no mistake, we are hellbent with the
vision of being the first soccer blog to emerge
as a SuperBlog. Look, once and for all, let me explain what I mean by a "SuperBlog". They are blogs that dominate their servers and actually transcend the ...
Taylor Twellman: I resolve to learn how to
score goals in a US national team jersey. Ricardo
Clark: I resolve not to kick Carlos Ruiz again, even if he really, really deserves it.
The 2008 MLS yearbook is being produced now,

Who Ate All the Cupcakes ?: United looked
rather impotent in the first leg at Toyota Park,
but they weren't able to start Jaime Moreno or Luciano Emilio. By most accounts, Moreno will be ready from the start tonight, and Emilio is a good possibility as a starter as well. That will go a long way to righting the wrongs of the DC attack.
November 15 --- I'm a few minutes away
from hitting the road for DC and MLS Cup
weekend and wanted to get this in before I leave. --- I'll try to post a bit about the goings on in DC this weekend, but I make no guarantees...
Who At All the Cupcakes ?: We pretty
much stick to the US here in the Bakery,
with some short excursions up to Canada and down to Mexico and Central America. However, there's lots of juicy topics going on around the world right now, and I keep hearing that Oasis song (or a drunken guy at the Brewhouse singing along) in my head...
...Here's a couple thoughts on my end: ...Jay
Jay Okocha would've been really nice a couple of
years ago. Signing a Designated Player from Hull City doesn't really send out the right message though. Especially one who's 34 years old...--- John Guppy looks pretty dumb right about now. John Spencer must not want to go to Chicago that bad. Dennis Hamlett must have broken his computer screen...
Yesterday was filled with some great action in
Mexico, with the 2nd of the First Division semifinals
taking place that saw Santos Laguna score two late goals to come from behind and tie Monterrey on aggregate and advance to the final. But the story ...

I'm pretty sure Shoe is bad luck. It
seems like every time I hear of him going
to D.C. games they end up losing. Nevertheless, we were subject to one great game and one terrible game last night, as Chivas (Mexico) downed D.C. United 2-1 in the ...
I've had more than a few moments of
poking fun at Taylor Twellman's expense. He's just one
of those guys that bugs you if he's not on your team, and you love him if he's scoring goals for your guys. I put it down to the extra spiky hair and the ...
(from Who Ate All the Cupcakes?) Try putting
the ball in that big rectangle next time, Shea.
--- Ouch... I like a lot of things about Salinas, but that was frighteningly bad... --- Good, good effort out of the Quakes, I thought they were the better team today. --- Effort doesn't get you points though, goals do....
This guy wouldn't make it out of the
Brewhouse alive...

The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle is reporting that
the Rhinos could be more than $10 million in
debt . There's supposed to be a big money investor lined up, but I think all of us who have been around the block in American pro soccer have heard ...
I mean seriously, who are these guys I'm
lining up with? The guy in the headgear, did
he win a contest or something? That Allen guy up front doesn't even have a bio on our website, and I'm pretty sure he couldn't hit water if he fell off a boat. We ...
Ives rips the former Captain America for participating
in a charity match last night, instead of accompanying
his Red Bulls to the West Coast. I can't say that I disagree. I didn't see the match, it sounds like it was fairly harmless. However, when ...
