Fernando Clavijo is resigning as coach of the Rapids effective immediately, according to the Denver Post this morning. Sounds to me like Toronto FC is in the Carlos Ruiz sweepstakes after all here. Today they announced the release of midfielder Laurent Robert.

US midfielder Maurice Edu agreed to a five-year deal with Glasgow Rangers on Scotland’s Premier League. The transfer fee for Edu was right around the $5 million mark for MLS and Toronto FC.
