Michael Curry’s decision is not to make a decision at all
Published 1/13/2009 by Matt Watson at Detroit Bad Boys
... Still, Curry said either Hamilton or Iverson will be substituted early most games as the Pistons switch to a bigger lineup. “We want our best players on the court as much as possible,” Curry said. “But for 32 minutes (of a game’s 48 minutes) we need to be big. A lot of nights Alan or Rip will be subbed kind of early but they’ll come back at the start of the second quarter with (Will) Bynum or Stuckey.” hat-tip: Ballerblogger ...

Game 15: Hive Five
Published 11/29/2008 by atthehive at At The Hive
I'm just gonna go with bullets for this one. I know this was the second game on the road of a back to back. But the problem wasn't fatigue. It was discipline. Absolutely no discipline on the glass- no boxing out, and pointless fouls on plays where guys were already boxed out. No discipline on defense- the Blazers were driving to the rim at will. I don't mean any disrespect to the Blazers, but the Hornets just tossed this game away. That second half was pure garbage, and I'm sure every player in the locker room knows it. "Right this way, sir. Would you prefer the scrumptious pass to an ...

... before it hit the backboard. LeBron has also established himself as the vocal leader of Team USA. All in all, it was an impressive performance for the United States.  But it’s important to consider the quality of their opponent.  The competition will improve over the next two weeks.  If the ‘Redeem Team’ is to win the gold medal, they will have to play much better than they did today.
