I'm Still Alive

... hey-day and my vegetable impersonations went towards either painting, raking, cleaning or some other "honeydew" chore. So alas, we are now Cary-ites and happy homeowners. But COI is not so happy. I'm more than displeased with the fact that there's been nothing but crickets around here. East jumped in when he could (and delivered some dime-pieces, thanks again East) - but I slacked on my blogging big time. For that my friends, I am sorry. The other day I got an e-mail from Kevin of Barry Melrose Rocks / ...

We'd end this with a snide comment about Satan underperforming this year. TAMPA, FLORIDA (TICKER) —In a stunning move, the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday fired head coach Barry Melrose. Associate coach Rick Tocchet was named as Melrose’s replacement. I said he wouldn't last the season, but I thought he would make it through Christmas. Oh well. Hopefully he won't take Barnaby's job back at ESPN. Keep an eye out on BMR for a suicide watch ... It is indeed official.

Afternoon Delight: Russians Behaving Badly
Published 11/6/2008 by Kyle at IllegalCurve.com
... Russia exhibits some poor sportsmanship at the World Junior A Challenge. World of Junior Hockey has more. Unfortunately this kind of stuff is still happening in international hockey. I like the passion the players exhibit, but some bounds are necessary. Al Strachan writes that Igor Larionov is very deserving of induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Very true. It would have been nice to see these guys more in their prime. Barry Melrose Rocks has a drinking game for those watching Versus. Should make ...

Kevin Schultz from Barry Melrose Rocks is a pretty cynical guy; so when he posted the following video with the headline "Carey Price Makes Early Submission for Save of the Year," we knew it wasn't hyperbole. Here's Jesus Price on Tuesday night, making a miraculous save against Brian Rafalski of the Detroit Red Wings: "That's the save of the year, and it's not even the year yet!" Truer words ...
