Published 19 days ago by jon at DC United
... Below is a roughly transcribed interview that I did with Santino today. He was a great sport, and I’d like to thank him for taking the time out. Also, thanks go out to Kyle from BehindtheBadge for helping me set this up. ...

Photo of the Day: DCU's Khumalo Takes Drastic Steps to Rectify His Poor Choice in Hairstyles

That's D.C. United's Thabiso Khumalo doing some sightseeing in Costa Rica courtesy of Behind The Badge. For his sake I hope this isn't a taster of what's to come tonight when United face the evil purple dragon that is Saprissa tomorrow on FSC (10pm EST). With neither Fred, Gallardo, Moreno or Emilio available though it does have a damn good chance of getting "head bitten of by prehistoric reptile"-ugly.

If anyone is particularly well-versed in the traditional Colombian art of abstract head art, please, explain. Regardless, the Charleston Battery likely don't know what they're in for, since there's no way you can afford a haircut like that on a USL-1 salary. Images courtesy Behind the Badge . Apples? Meet Oranges.

Is this really the Galaxy's official team blog? Perhaps I'm so far out of the loop that I'm in orbit around it, but that site seems a bit . . . uh . . . half-assed. Nothing against the mighty Blogger mothership--in fact, I'm fully invested with my Google Overlords here on FBF, but shouldn't the "official team blog" be something more than a default-theme blogspot site? [image] I mean, I'm just a guy hanging out in the woods who occasionally has something to say about soccer--I'm not the mouthpiece of a supposedly professional sports franchise. And I've got no problems using Blogger to power a site. In fact, ...

I am The Management

On the occasion of Bobby Boswell’s first game back in D.C. tomorrow evening, I thought it appropriate to say hello after a few months away from the loyal readers of BobbyBoswell.com. Hello. How are you? How is your summer going? Mine is going pretty good. In the event that you’re not aware as to what’s going on, the Houston Dynamo will make their first trip to RFK Stadium tomorrow night since winning MLS Cup there back in November. Señor Boswell will also be making his first official visit as a resident of Houston after being traded for goalkeeper Zach Wells (and a draft ...

Bobby Boswell minus the dotcom
Published 7/24/2008 by Beau Dure at The Netminder
Bobby Boswell had a stunning start to his MLS career. He went undrafted but immediately won a place in D.C. United's starting lineup, which was short on defenders after losing Ryan Nelsen to England. The next year, he was the MLS defender of the year. The next year, he was in and out of the lineup at D.C. United. Boswell also is something of a new media celebrity. He starred in an entertaining video when he was nominated as one of Cosmopolitan's top bachelors in the country, and he followed up with more videos (the Alecko Eskandarian internship is the best) and a blog at BobbyBoswell.com He ...

The Cursed Houston Dynamo @ DC United Match
Published 7/24/2008 by dunny at TheOriginalWinger.com
My boy Ryan in Baltimore hit me up at halftime / rain delay-time dying laughing and giving me a great personal story that can’t be told here. The great thing about Tivo is that you don’t have to be sitting on your couch, waiting for kickoff. You can be 20 minutes late like me, grab an adult beverage, kick back with Nesta and watch the 3rd version of the Houston Dynamo at DC United. First time they played, Houston and DC made it through an amazing 16 minutes before time was called. Then last night they were scheduled to play again before a lights out power issue hit. ...
