Spring Training Leader Board
Published 4/7/2009 by weshouldbegms@hotmail.com (GM-Carson) at More Hardball
The longest spring training in the history of baseball is over. Teams now erase all the good, bad, and the ugly from the Cactus and Grapefruit League games and begin racking up stats and playing games that actual matter. However, let's not forget the studs of spring... ...

Spring Training Question
Published 3/20/2009 by seanramblings@yahoo.com (Sean) at Sean's Ramblings
We’re in the middle of the NCAA Tournament’s first round with Pitt and Robert Morris both playing today and the Penguins are continuing their hot streak trying to make the NHL playoffs. So today seems to be a perfect time to write about the Pittsburgh Pirates! I’m heading to Bradenton, Florida on Sunday for my first ever Spring Training, and I figured I would ask a few people what I should look for while I’m there. ... for the Rays. He’s good. (Although we did scratch out a run off him). Hopefully you didn’t miss Ian Snell’s start in the WBC against Venezuela. He got the loss, but pitched well in front of a lot of fans and an ESPN audience (playoff atmosphere). 4 innings, 1 run, 5 hits, two walks, 5 K’s. Puerto Rico lost, 2-0. Pittsburgh Pirates Roundtable - How soon should we see McCutchen?
Published 7/29/2008 by Matt Bandi at Pittsburgh Pirates
Please note that many of these responses were submitted before the trade of Xavier Nady. Question: Should the Pirates bring up Andrew McCutchen as soon as there is an opening for him in the everyday lineup? Or should he remain in Triple-A for further development, regardless of the situation in Pittsburgh? Dave from Bucs Trade Winds The determining factor in whether McCutchen is called up is who gets traded. If Nady is the one to go, I would think Pearce is the logical choice for a call up since he is a right fielder and would take ...
