Draft Stock Report - Final Four
Published 4/10/2009 by Jeff Fox (foxyjj@sympatico.ca) at SLAM Online
... 5-20 shooting and 1 assist performance versus Michigan State did nothing to quiet these concerns. Kemba Walker | Connecticut Walker probably wasn’t going to enter this year’s draft anyway, but his disappearing act in the Final Four made that a definite. With Price graduated, he should benefit from being the full-time point guard for the Huskies next season. Jeff Fox also writes about college hoops and the NBA Draft at College Hoops Net. ...

... First game is one that is probably followed by CHN's Shawn Siegel, who is a passionate Nets fan. New Jersey went on the road in this one, taking on the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum. Carter started at the shooting guard, getting 39 minutes in all (most for his squad), while scoring a team high 23 points and adding five rebounds. The ex Tar Heel also had eight assists and one steal in the game, while recording not one turnover. In the end it was ...

... Collegehoops.net has it's annual Top 144 teams in the country preview going on this summer and today Mason comes in at #102. Not surprising to see the Patriots at this spot considering all the question marks this team has leading into next season. What kind of impact will the return of Darryl Monroe have on this squad? How will seniors John Vaughan and Dre Smith fair in leading this team? What kind of production can we expect from the incoming freshman class? These are just a few of the questions I have coming into this season. I agree with the starting lineup ...

No, because the best thing about every draft in every sport is simply talking about it. How else do you think these networks get all those people to watch envelopes being read? By the way, caps locks were not allowed in the chat. We'll get enough of Stephen A. Smith tomorrow night. ...

2007-2008 BIG EAST PREVIEW: MEDIA DAY NOTEBOOK
Published 11/1/2007 by NBE Blogger at College Basketball Blog Report
... I guess that’s one way of avoiding disappointment. BUILDING CARACTER Louisville was named one of the co-favorites to win the Big East regular-season title by the conference coaches, along with Georgetown. One of the keys to fulfilling that preseason honor, though, will be sophomore big man Derrick Caracter, who had an up-and-down freshman season filled with suspensions, fluctuating playing time, and outstanding play. “DC learned how to work hard,” Cardinals coach Rick Pitino said. “He gave me 100 percent maybe 25 percent of the time last year. It was very difficult on all of us. But we wouldn’t have made it that far without DC.” Senior center Terrance Farley echoed those statements, saying that Caracter was one of the two players—along with Earl Clark—who stood out the most in the early practices. “He’s matured so much,” Farley said. “It’s like night and day.” ------------------------------------------------ You can catch more of Jeff's thoughts on college basketball at his ...
