SEC Media Days: Coaches Said Words, Todd Cares Not
Published 35 hours ago by Todd at Roll 'Bama Roll: Front Page Posts
Yeah, so SEC Media Days. Garnet and Black Attack and EDSBS have both been covering it, the al.com blogs are all over it and the SEC website has it's own central location for audio and video of each participants if you're interested, but after years of paying rapt attention to coach speak in a vain attempt to glean some sort of useful information and failing miserably I just don't have it in me to start reading through the transcripts. Fall camp is coming up, and then we'll actually start learning something about our team. 'Til then, whatevs, man. ...

... So I leave you today with this campaign poster (as seen on EDSBS). He's already lived in key swing states (college at Miami) and has resided in both traditionally red and blue states (Oklahoma and New York). And you know he wouldn't let something like Hurricane Katrina happen again in his new home. He would walk up and down the edge of the levy, yelling at it and exhorting it not to break. That's the kind of passion Jeremy Shockey brings to the job, people. ...

... the process server handed it to some other rotund man in a hideous orange golf shirt, I have my doubts about that. I was in Birmingham last Sunday and do not recall seeing one single solitary person who looks and dresses like Phil Fulmer. I did see a homeless guy outside the McDonald's on Highway 78 who reminded me a little of Terry Bowden, but that's sort of beside the point, which is that this story could get (even more)interesting. You should probably keep tabs on EDSBS and ...

Hell to the no, she's a damn foot taller than Stallone for Christ's sake. And don't get even me started on that whore Betty White. I'm Visiting Lecturer at Every Day Should Be Saturday
Published 6/24/2008 by Seth (noreply@blogger.com) at Enjoy the Enjoyment
Don't know if you read the college football blog Every Day Should be Saturday. If you don't, you should, if only for their hilarious Friday Corrections and the Photoshop genius of LSUFreek. They are doing a "Visiting Lecturer" series, where a writer previews his team based on some standard questions. I asked if I could contribute a UW lecture, they agreed, and here it is. I had fun writing it, and I hope you'll like it (though, based on my stance re: Ty Willingham, I know half of you won't).
BSA: Sporting Blog Goes to Training Camp

Surely you read Spencer Hall (a.k.a. Orson Swindle) from The Sporting Blog and Every Day Should Be Saturday. He’s quite good. And now he’s at training camp, getting the crap kicked out of him by various prep drills. Embarrassing deets on each exercise plus a full video make it a must read/watch.

Buzz Bissinger’s stance on Sports Blogs, if he knew what he was talking about
Published 6/17/2008 by ethanator1088 at NESW Sports, The Best Sports News
Buzz Bissinger’s stance on blogs is well documented by myself and others. We all know what he said, but we do not know what his stance on it is, because he has no idea what he is talking about. He is very mad but he does not know what he is mad about. He talks about the subject at great length, and he has no idea what he is talking about. He ends up making no point at all, except for the glaring fact that he is mad.
He needs to understand that “Sports Blogs“ are a big topic. He has taken a small segment of sports blogs and he has given a blanket statement about all ...

... Orson Swindle writes the excellent Every Day Should Be Saturday blog. It’s funny, informed and home to more mustaches than Fire Island circa 1973. I came upon EDSBS after the Seahawks drafted Owen Schmitt. Swindle is among Schmitt’s biggest fans. The next couple months won’t tell us much about how good a pro Schmitt can be, but I thought Swindle could give us his take. If it’s not a sure thing, at least it’s funny and informed if dubiously mustache-free. ...
