For Double A, that is. Anyway according to Peter Abraham via MLBTR, the Yankees signed free agent pitcher Jason Johnson to a minor league contract. I'm sure that Johnson is a very good pitcher who will provide excellent rotational depth and a power arm to make hitters around the majors cringe. Oh. Career 89 ERA+ Career 1.48 WHIP Originally signed by the Pirates. Damnit, Cashman. Just give Andy his money already.

... signed a one-year, $400,000 deal with the Dodgers which includes up to $1.4 million in additional incentives. We will be in a world of hurt if he hits those incentives if they are based on innings pitched. From my perch he is just filler at this point and replaces Jason Johnson as the guy who gets the call if no one else is left standing. If Ned envisions him as part of the 25 man roster then we have a problem. In moving from the Brewers to the Mets last year his dominance dropped from 7.2 to 4.9 possibly due to the sore elbow that ...

... The guy was an excellent swingman for the Dodgers in 2008. The problem is that he wants to be a starter. I have a well documented love affair with Chan Ho's heroics for the Dodgers this year, but there's no way I want him back as a starter. Good luck in Kansas City or Washington D.C. or wherever, it was a good run here. Jason Johnson (Let Him Walk) You know what I love about players like this? All I have to do is link their Baseball Reference page as evidence for my position. Tanyon Sturtze (Let Him ...

... Lester should not start anytime soon. He does not deserve to be promoted. Lester has been a below average pitcher by sporting a less than 2-to-1 K/BB ratio (71/41 or 1.73) in AAA, as of last week. His record (7-2) in the Show last year is impressive. But if you are still putting stock in a pitcher’s win-loss to predict future results, I got a bridge to sell you. Lester was lucky in the bigs. He had a 60/43 or 1.40 K/BB ratio. We are talking Jason Johnson-esque – remember him. Lester is simply not ready like last summer, but unlike last year, the Sox have options. ...

... gimmick last season, even though Impemba tried his damnedest to make me actively hate it, but I can't be opposed to anything that leads to Big League Chew becoming more prominent in my life. Also Nate stopped starting every fucking game I was in attendance for, which was the main reason I didn't like him, as a matter a fact out of the 10 or so games I went to last season Nate only started one that I can remember. Robertson was also one of the unluckiest pitchers in all of baseball last season when it came to his record reflecting how well he had pitched and he handled it very well, unlike that no talent ass-clown Jason Johnson who would have a bitch fit after every error and implode for a six run inning. Hopefully Robertson's record reflects his talent this season because he deserves it. Prediction: 13-8, 3.70 ERA ...
