... 3. Kevin Millar (RF) - he's the team captain, and is still going strong in MLB today. He's spent 11 seasons in the bigs now with the Marlins, BoSox, and Orioles. Career line: .277/.818 with 619 r, 670 rbi, and 163 homeruns. During the 2003 playoffs, Millar came up with the phrase "Cowboy Up," and in 2004 referred to his team as "idiots" to keep his teammates loose during the stretch run to the World Series Championship. ...

... The Kevin Millar signing on the other hand would help the Bucs in a completely different way. Millar not only would give the club a much needed right handed bat to either come off the bench or to spell Adam LaRoche at first base who struggles against lefties (.241/.298/.467, 6 HR, 24 RBI and 42 SO in ‘08), but he would give the young club a much needed veteran presence in the clubhouse. While his numbers have been on the decline (although still posting power with 20 homers and 72 RBI in ‘08), Millar has always been a great clubhouse leader and could really help in ...

... Charles Johnson. He graduated from Fort Pierce High School, a mere 2 hours north of Miami. He starred for the Miami Hurricanes and then was drafted by the Marlins. C. J. was the first homegrown star, he was a 2 time All Star and 4 time Gold Glove winner. Plus he hit a key homer in game 1 of the 1997 World Series (which he finished with a .357 Average.) All due respect to Jeff Conine, but C. J. is Mr. Marlin! STARTING FIRST BASEMAN KEVIN MILLAR Millar spent 4 seasons in Miami and only 3 in Boston. Bet you didn’t know ...

Should the Mets Make a Trade?

One name being bandied about is Kevin Millar. That intrigues me. He is a great clubhouse guy, and he can hit. What would it take to get him? Maybe Nick Evans is up for a reason? Do they pair him with Delgado and eat Delgado's salary, or make the move and release Carlos? Would the Orioles be willing to deal with the Mets? What about Mike Carp for Millar straight up? Have a look at Kevin Millar's stats ....he seems like the perfect fit.

... . The 24 year old outfielder hit 23 dingers last year with a .847 OPS. He showed great growth from his rookie year (16 HR, .799 OPS) last year. I believe the trend will continue and he will hit over 30 Home Runs this year. Player most likely to have a disappointing Home Run Season: Kevin Millar . He didn’t have a great power season last year at 17 roundtrippers, and at the age of 36, he is entering that time of one’s career were performance begins it’s decent. Well, unless of course, your name is Barry Bonds. Bold Statement: Nick Markakis will be in the top 5 in AL MVP ...
