... Marco Pantanella from mcalcio.com Which pairing looks the most equally matched Marco? "I'd say it's a tie between Inter vs. Man Utd and Real Madrid vs. Liverpool. For the first one, it's Serie A champions vs. EPL champions, although the Red Devils have a big experience advantage: Inter have always disappointed in Europe recently. For the second match, despite all of Real's problems, they're still the team with most UCLs in history. And Liverpool, well we know how good their form in Europe is..." Any advantage in the English vs Italy challenge on match day come February 24th? ...

... player, but Gerrard is capable of playing there if necessary and Xavi could always drop deep and create play from there. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was a strong contender to go up front but my decision to go with just one striker (plus the fact his name didn’t fit on the graphic properly) meant Fernando Torres got the nod. I’m trying to think of people Chris hasn’t already tagged with this, so I’ll go for: Spanish Football & Sports mCalcio Football Corner The Beautiful Game The rather aptly-named The ...

Maldini Monday

Marco P of ADP Offside and mCalcio fame… Before Alessandro Del Piero, I had two idols in soccer. The first, was the legendary Roberto Baggio, who became the object of my affection circa Summer 1994. Yeah, what a coincidence I know. But at that age (I was 12) the only soccer I was following was the national team. During that time, there was another good lad (well, two actually) playing on that Azzurri squad that caught my eye. Franco Baresi retired a little too soon before I became really involved with soccer (fanatically I mean). ...

... attacking prowess of the Del Piero-Amauri tandem, a tremendous combination of class and power. Milan displayed some pride and quality, but they lacked physical and playing continuity. It was a night in which the absences of Kaká and Gattuso felt very heavy indeed. Note: I am still without my computer. Right now I can only post through an old Compaq 900 laptop from the pre-war era. For Juve-AC Milan though, some sacrifices have to made. ...

Zlatab Ibrahimovic’s Taekwondo Pass
Published 12/8/2008 by Daryl at The Offside
... | December 8th, 2008 Blink and you’ll miss it first time around, but wait for the replay and you can appreciate Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s acrobatic heel pass in slo-mo. Apparently Zlatan did some Taekwando in his youth, and seems he’s remembered a few moves. What impresses me most though is that whenever we see the big Swede pulling out these kind of flicks, it’s more than just for show. That ball goes straight to Dejan Stanković’s feet. Thanks to Marco mCalcio.com for the tip.
