NC Central Plus/Minus
Published 8 days ago by Dylan at UM Hoops.com
I have been playing around with ways to do some more in depth statistical post-game analysis. Something along the lines of MGoBlog’s Under Further Review or 82games.com.  An entire play by play system I think would just be far too boring for the amount of effort it would take (but gives props to those who put in the work). There are usually 2-3 games every week and I wouldn’t have time to do an entire UFR for every game. I started to do some kind of UFR and then decided it would make a lot more sense to just read a play-by-play if someone wanted that kind of data. In ...

Poll Results: The Devlin Verdict
Published 20 days ago by Mike 2 (ZombieNationPSU@gmail.com) at Zombie Nation
Well, in case you've forgotten already, Pat Devlin did transfer out of Penn State last week. What do Penn State fans think of Devlin's choice? In all, 62 percent of votes went in favor of Devlin's transfer, while the other 37 percent had some hard feelings towards the former Nittany Lion quarterback. The poll even got some attention ...

... I'm really not sure where this came from but MGO Blog's Brian made a couple of preposterous statements comparing Brewster and Mason's recruiting classes.  If you take an honest look at Brewster's brief tenure as the Gopher's head coach there is absolutely no comparison and I'm really not sure what his point was in these few paragraphs. ...

Blog Pollin': Call Week 15's ballot a sucker for the status quo

Luckily for Meyer, Tim Tebow bailed him out with a touchdown pass on third down to salt the game away rather than have to settle for a field goal and a seven-point edge. In a weekend devoid of any major strategic blunders, Meyer's brain cramp is enough to qualify him for the JLS Trophy this week. ATQ Week 14 CFB Ballots
Published 12/3/2008 by jtlight at Addicted To Quack
Well, this week it's all about the Big 12. The Oklahoma/Texas debate has been raging, and honestly, I don't know what to add. Texas fans are undeniably pissed, and have a legitimate reason to be. But if Oklahoma were shut out, they would have legitimate complaints as well. Peter Bean, head of the college SBNation blogs and founder of Burnt Orange Nation wrote a post detailing his frustrations, specifically calling out BlogPoll founder Brian over at MGoBlog. And in my mind, Brian had the perfect response, there is no right answer. The ...

... slanderous, and sometimes outright wrong. These opinions to not mesh with our world view, or in the case of Michigan Football, how we see things. The last year has been as difficult as any living Wolverine fan has ever experienced. For young and old alike, this season is new ground. When you lose your eighth game in a season for the first time in 129 years of football, it's fair to say that everyone's starting from scratch. Even so, the resilience of Michigan fans, their strength and sense of humor have shone through the ...

BlogPoll Roundtable: Potpourri Edition
Published 11/16/2008 by cgb at CollegeGameBalls: College Football at its Finest
Brian is letting me host this week’s edition of the BlogPoll Rountable.  I tried to focus the questions on four totally different topics and I hope everyone enjoys answering them. By now everyone has heard that if there is a three way tie in the Big 12 South the highest ranked team in the BCS will play in the Big 12 Championship Game. That means the humans (66% of the BCS Poll) will determine the Big 12 South representative. Let’s assume Oklahoma sinks the pirate ship at home next week. Try to sway the pollsters by arguing which team you think ...

Hitting Rewind: Offense vs. Michigan State
Published 10/21/2008 by Jason at Eleven Warriors
As further proof that I don’t yet know what I’m doing, I’ve decided to take a slightly different approach to the Hitting Rewind feature. I hope to make this a regular aspect of the season, but quickly found out that finding time to do a UFR-style review for each game would be impossible because of the time they took to complete. That Hippie Up North puts together amazing reviews for every week of the season, but he’s not exactly rolling into an office every day like the rest of us. So, I’ve settled on a more visual approach where I’ll try to take the two or ...
