Abreu even if healthy couldn't possibly hit enough for us to carry him as a regular 3rd baseman. DeWitt simply is not ready. Hu could be the guy but again I don't think he will hit enough and I think he will be needed at 2nd base quite a bit this year since Abreu doesn't seem up to it. I refer to it as a "mini" signing because it is just a 1-year deal and with A-Rod at 3rd base he obviously won't be getting much starting time over in that corner.
