He didn't specifically address any of the other comments, although he tried to blanket them all together as bogus. But considering the evidence out there, and Hoge's long-running arguments against Young as an NFL quarterback stretching back to before when he was drafted, it's hard to think that there isn't something to what he's saying. ... head coach for the current or future season." Last time I checked, Frank, we do have a head coach, and there was no discussion there of anything to do with a head coach or job opportunities. All it was was discussing his opportunity with a guy from NFL Network, Adam Schefter, who that's his job is to talk about these things. And that's what we discussed, about him being fired, which will probably happen today from what everybody's reporting. And there was also mention that I read on Pro Football Talk about him possibly going to Syracuse. So I don't see why Jason La Canfora ...
Sports Blogs: The Next Step (Part 1)

How many sports blogs out there break news, or offer exclusive interviews with athletes and coaches or team execs? ProFootballTalk comes to mind, and ...
MDS Breaks Down Bernard Pollard
Published 18 days ago by Adam at Arrowhead Addict | A Kansas City Chiefs Sports Blog
Michael David Smith–and all Internet-savvy pigskin fans love them some MDS, right?–of Fan House and PFT was nice enough to quickly break down Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard for us. In his latest Every Play Counts feature (which is very interesting in its own right), he saw plenty of Bonecrusher because he went back and watched the entire Raiders game in order to study Darren McFadden. Here is what MDS had to say about Pollard:

Cuts

... Garcon and Courtney Roby can breathe easy. The same can't be said for the oversized quarterback duo. Lorenzen and Gray have both been cut. Many, myself included, predicted correctly that the team would again go with two quarterbacks. If the big boys are needed at some point this year I'm thinking they'll be available and waiting by the phone. On a brighter note, I hope this officially puts to rest the Peyton Manning injury drama. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

Dolphins coach Tony Sparano today denied a media report that quarterback John Beck has been cut.
A sports Web site, profootballtalk.com, carried the story today based on what it called an "unconfirmed tip."
But Beck participated in this morning's practice and will be on the field later this afternoon, Sparano said.
"There's a lot of rumors in this business. John will be at practice today," Sparano said in his post-practice press conference.

MOORMAN OUTS HIMSELF AS PFT JUNKIE
Published 8/1/2008 by Mike Florio at ProFootballTalk.com
Once upon a time, NFL types who read ProFootballTalk felt like they couldn’t admit to it. (We never quite understood why.) Though some folks still staunchly deny taking a peek at this space ( e.g. , King Carl), more and more players and agents and coaches and front-office types are willing to acknowledge that they are card-carrying members of PFT Planet. The latest? Bills punter Brian Moorman outs himself as a multiple-times-per-day visitor, in his blog on BuffaloBills.com. Says Moorman: “I was just informed that this blog made the Buffalo Bills one liners a couple of days ago on Profootballtalk.com ...
