In the three years since, the Red and Black have not attended a single S.E.C. championship game, while Florida has won two conference crowns and is about to play for its second national championship in a three-year span, L.S.U. has won league and national titles, and Alabama has resumed its historic place among the conference and national elite. ...

Elephantine Alabama defensive tackle Terrence Cody, 10 games removed from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, says he's done he's time:
No "official" Bama media is on top of this yet -- Cody was not among the Tide underclassmen reported to have filled out paperwork to gauge their draft status -- but firsthand Facebook with dozens of anguished fans registering their protest is as solid as a newspaper report; Cody's junior college background suggests he's not exactly the bookish type, anyway. At any rate, he's too big to fall out of the first round and will probably be the first ...
TODD OWNS UP TO A WAGER, TAKES YOU HIGHER
Published 27 days ago by Orson Swindle at EDSBS
Todd is a man of his word: after making a bet with us on the results of the SEC Championship Game, the Roll Bama Roll boss has owned up and done what a man does: pay his end of the bargain no matter how humiliating it may be.
And considering the bet was the loser singing an entire Creed song of their choice, painful is a too-small sheet put on the metaphorical king-sized bed of this bet.
Enjoy?

Quickie Recap 12.6: No Percy no problem, Big 10 earns some respect

Rulers of the South Oh what a dreary day to be a ‘Bama fan ; a waste of a resurgent season, in our opinion. Granted they exceeded expectations, but this is where college football becomes irritating, We’re glad we have no deeply rooted allegiances and can instead crush Bud heavies every Saturday, all while watching 118 programs slowly widdle away like a slug doused with salt. ‘Bama can now likely look forward to a Sugar Bowl match-up with non-BCS children, Utah or Bosie State. Boring. In the other quasi-semifinal, Bob Stoops continues to proves he’s the biggest bully in college ...

... TCU and Cincy are both miles better than anyone the ‘Horns scheduled and I hear Tech’s noncon slate killed at the Comedy Club last week.
Subway Domer suggests abandoning the current tie breaker all together and pimping off the Big Ten.
Maybe the rule should change though. Maybe the final tiebreaker should go to the school that has not played in the game the longest

... Found this over on Roll Bama Roll. Should Penn State be #2 or should Texas Tech? My feeling is that Tech still has to play Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. Win those two, they are the #1 team in the country hands down. Hopefully, LSU beats Bama and somehow Penn State loses. Trying to figure out if there is anyway we can have an All Big 12 national title. Although Florida looked pretty unstoppable yesterday. That being said, Georgia isn't good. I don't think the Florida win warranted a jump over OU in the AP as Woodrow is quick to remind me that the AP means nothing and ...

... if Kentucky wins, make no mistake. Kentucky is capable, but if Alabama executes solidly, it is unlikely that the 'Cats can pull the upset. But I think Alabama is more overconfident than is being portrayed in the media, and I think that overconfidence will manifest itself negatively. The Tide can point to a number of good reasons why they should win this game, not the least of which is the fact that UK has never won at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
