... PUJOLS...a guy on your team...the infallible one...DOES THIS ALL THE TIME! Showboating home runs? This isn't specific to the Brewers you donkey. -Maybe Carlos got a little excited...maybe. I'll give you that. But did you just call Carlos Villanueva a journeyman? What? A journeyman? Did you just call a 25 year old who has been traded 1 time in his minor league career and has been pitching on 1 major league roster for 3 years now a journeyman? Do you even know what journeyman means? Ron Villone is a goddamn journeyman . Dude's been on like 10 teams. ...

... Spun the right way, I really do believe that LaRussa can make shine out of spit here. The less work the bullpen has to do in the coming weeks, the more flexibility he has. Izzy comes in and walks the first batter? No worries, yank him for Springer. Ron Villone gets a lefty in the seventh, ...

I am currently listening to 590 The Fan (on-line) and I just heard that the Cards may be close to acquiring another pitcher. No report on who it might be or if this would be a move of any significance (i.e. someone to plug into the starting rotation). Update 10:53am (CT) Nevermind.... nothing significant... it's Ron Villone.

... Andy Pettitte: I suppose this one shouldn't come as much of a surprise, considering he and Roger do everything together; now we know that all that togetherness includes hypodermic needles filled with delicious, delicious steroids. Upside: the use apparently ended in 2002, so hopefully we can at least attribute his success with the Yanks solely on the blood of newborns and the love of Jesus. Ron Villone: Wow, those drugs sure did help your career soar. Mo Vaughn: I guess his fatass-ness was steroid-induced. ...
