The Importance of Fantasy Mock Drafts
Published 2 days ago by Tim McLeod at Fantasy Baseball Blog at Razzball.com
Hey all! My thanks to both Rudy and Grey for allowing me the opportunity to ramble for a bit on one of my favorite off-season topics, the fantasy mock draft. It’s the beginning of January and this would be the perfect opportunity to commence that 2009 preseason fine tuning. The start of spring training is still several months away and taking advantage of that “break” between seasons can make a huge difference in those final 2009 results. Sure the honey-do list can be shortened, but please remember guys don’t set the bar too high. Taking too much of a break can lead to over-bonding, which then creates a false ...

Two Tims split the Bloggers League title
Published 10/2/2008 by Bob Taylor (noreply@blogger.com) at Fantasy Hurler
Congrats to RotoRob's Tim McLeod and Roto Authority's Tim Dierkes, who tied for co-champions of the 12-team Bloggers League I represented Fantasy Hurler in this summer. McLeod was a co-winner despite drafting Victor Martinez in the third round. (Proof that in fantasy baseball, one really bad early draft pick can be overcome.) He struck gold with Ian Kinsler in the 6th, Adrian Beltre in the 8th, Roy Halladay in the 9th and Carlos Delgado in the 13th. Dierkes's notable draft picks included taking both Martin and Mauer early to shore up that position in a two-catcher ...

Fan Report: Texas is Hot, the Phillies Are Not

Andy Goldstein brings us this Fan Report from Texas. Andy contributes to fantasy sports site RotoRob.
Despite the fact that I've lived in Dallas for over a year now, I
haven't actually seen the Rangers play in person yet. This might be
because the Rangers play in freaking far away Arlington. It isn't
exactly a hop, skip, and a jump away. Dallas really likes putting their
stadiums as far away as possible. I am pretty sure the
Cowboys play across the state border in Oklahoma.
Anyway, I chose Sunday's game because the ...
