Monday Night Links!

It’s been an exciting day in sports blogging, and I’m here to bring you the best. First, here’s a preview of another interesting interview JSB is going to be featuring tomorrow. My partner Scott Jacobs interviewed one of the founding fathers of the brand spanking new EagleBank Bowl, the first sanctioned post-season bowl game in Washington DC (which matches up Navy with the #9 team in the ACC). Apparently the only thing you need for a bowl game is $2 million and a stadium. The NCAA does have standards though; the stadium can’t be a high school stadium, so there will be no JSB Bowl ...

Guest Blog: Hometown Report, Oft-Injured Croyle
Published 9/19/2008 by Adam at Arrowhead Addict | A Kansas City Chiefs Sports Blog
(Ethan Jaynes of NESW Sports and SEC Football Blogger was nice enough to do a guest post on Brodie Croyle. Considering his proximity to the situation, this is good stuff. Thanks, Ethan. Definitely check out his blogs. - Adam) The nice guys @ Arrowhead Addict asked me to do an impromptu guest blog post as soon as they heard that I lived in Etowah County, Alabama.  They were not interested in hearing about my Carnell Williams Stories ( Etowah high school ). They were interested in what I might know about Brodie Croyle. Brodie went to ...

How is this not gaming the system?

This is not gaming the system because of free will. I simply show the link and you can vote if you would like to. It would be gaming the system, if you recieved anything for voting, and Sports Blog Bucks are imaginary. It would be gaming the system, if I submitted my own stuff all the time. I do have 2 sports blogs, NESW Sports and SEC Football Blogger. I promise to post very few of my own posts, if any. It will not be more than 5%. Also this is going to be a community of sports blog fans that will vote for the blogs that they like. Read ...

New Blogs
Published 4/7/2008 by CFR at CollegeFootballResource.com
It's been a while, so this list is looooooong.  Additionally, something got into my old computer in November and ate everything.  At a price I got it fixed and literally everything was restored -- except for the mountains of links I had accumulated in my browser. This led to something short of depression but well above frustration.  In the intervening time I've slowly accumulated a new set of "new blogs" to add.  Piles of old emails were reviewed and if you sent me an email your blog is likely on this list.  If not, please accept my apology and send an email with your URL so that I ...

NBA Fan Ejected for Gambling Reference?
Published 3/31/2008 by Chris at Intentional Foul
Ethan over at SECFootballBlogger and NESWsports sent me a heads-up about this and I’m not sure what to make of it. Apparently, the fan in the video got ejected because he was making comments related to gambling and the ref, Joe Forte, overheard and was not pleased. The fan set up a YouTube page explaining his side of things, complete with the vid-cap of him getting escorted out. However, you cannot hear what’s being said between the fan and Forte. Take a look for yourself: The YouTuber responsible for ...
