Keith Ballard Earns Retribution
Published 3/27/2009 by vance@banginpanger.com (Vance) at Bangin Panger
... unabashed Hartnell detractor, and watching him get up and immediately go after Ballard after such a clean, and glorious hit, just reinforces my low opinion of him. Suck it up Hartnell, you tried to make a move that you obviously don't have in your repertoire and got PWND. WTG Ballard, WTG. Dear sweet Lisa, leave him, we can run away together. I may not have the millions the Flyers overpaid him, but I at least get haircuts and stuff. (Hat tip to Stevens and the guys at The Program for the video find) ...

Internet trends: One Good, One Bad
Published 3/13/2009 by noreply@blogger.com (jamestobrien) at Cycle like the Sedins
... PD's not the only link-giver, as blogs like The Program, Stanley Cup of Chowder, (the possibly still defunct?) Going Five Hole and many others do that thing on a weekly basis. We try to offer something similar in the form of a weekly Morning Cycle. That doesn't even include the countless cross-linking that takes place in "gameday" posts. The blogosphere is a beautiful place. Bad Cheap ways to "get more click-thrus" No doubt about it: I'm an endlessly shameless self-promoter. Things that I once derided are now daily ...

Freebasin': Random Thoughts Cause I've Got Nothing Else

... That was a lot of fun and Chris and Rick are really good guys who sure do know a lot about hockey. That was my first time doing any sort of non-written media and I think, for now, I'm certainly sticking to the written thing. Don't get me wrong, it was a lot of fun, but I'm no professional orator. Barack Obama hangs his head in disappointment. But anyway, thanks to the folks over there for putting up with me and you should really check out their stuff. ...

Sad news about a Minnesota Wild fan
Published 11/11/2008 by Paul (noreply@blogger.com) at The Program
I quickly posted this at my Cup Crazy's National Hockey League blog and while I have a New York Rangers overview coming up here, this was worth the mention here at The Hockey Program blog as well. When read this today on the Star Tribune's web site, I was heartbroken to hear this about a dedicated Minnesota Wild fan who also loves the Phoenix Coyotes (love that fan combination!). Wild beat writer Michael Russo wrote on his Russo's Rants blog about a woman named Lori Luoma he recently met at Tom Reid's ...
