ETVal Well, I would hate to see Hughes go. But, you get a Hall of Fame pitcher in his prime for a guy who MIGHT be good and a decent center fielder. Yanks have to do this.

ETVal Unfortunately, the Yankees have a bigger need than the Red Sox. They can't wait and hope Hughes or Chamberlain becomes an ace, and let Boston get Santana. They have to make this move. ETVal I would also hate to see Hughes go, but the Yankees are between a rock and a hard place here. If Santana goes to Boston the Yankees probably lose control of the AL East for the next 7-10 years. They simply won't let that happen. Every time I watch ESPN highlights and see Hughes dominate somebody it will piss me off. ETVal Great stuff, especially since you got some of the heavyweights to chime in. As an independent blogger, I wonder if the day will come when you have to be affiliated with MSM to really have any kind of useful voice. I hope not, but as MSM reaches out more and more to the blogging platform it may happen.

ETVal Cashman should make this move in about 3 seconds. Yanks need a starter for Sunday or Monday, and I'd love to see Liber be one of them. Farnsworth would look like a savior next to the rest of the crap in the Phillies bullpen.
