matt All traffic isn't created equal. If posting pics of chicks isn't what you really want to do, then perhaps the visitors that flock to those types of posts aren't the ones you're trying to attract.
Everyone has their own goals, but when it comes to my own blog, I'm less concerned about page views and more concerned about creating a space where a community of fans can gather and discuss the news of the day. Pics of half-naked chicks might generate more hit-and-run visitors, but like you said, it doesn't result in reader loyalty.

matt Two quick thoughts: unless you're actually the one uploading YouTube videos, it's kind of hard to "claim" them just because you found it first, especially when so many people have RSS feeds for specific search terms. I always try to give credit to the blog that found it first, but that's sometimes difficult to do.
