A week or so ago, Gary Player said
that he knew of a golfer that had used
performance-enhancing drugs. We poo-poo'd it siting all the old, fat guys who played golf. People were even talking about it on the Senior Tour. And now, lo and behold, we now have a golfer suspended for using illegal drugs. Amazing timing!

Look out John Daly, drug testing is coming
to golf. Beginning with the 2008 season in Europe
and likely the year after in America, the PGA will begin testing its golfers for performance enhancing drgus, including HGH, joining the rest of major league sports. We'll soon find out if Gary Player was right about those 10 or more Tour players regularly using drugs that he alleged earlier this year.
