Padres Nation Forum: ready for spring training?

Been ready since end of the AFC Championship game.  I think the Padres have a good shot at taking the division again and I can't wait to see if Mark Prior can return to form.

Padres Nation Forum: Bonds nonsense

I have no idea.  The Padres are probably the single worst fit for Bonds in all of MLB.  Bonds' fielding has deteriorated and his knees can't hold up playing full time in the field.  PetCo has a particularly expansive outfield where fielding is at a premium.  San Diego hates Bonds. PetCo was practically designed to hamper Barry Bonds personally.

I just don't see Bonds coming back period. He can't field anymore, most of his time will be spent in court and I just don't see anyone wanting to take on his problems without the guarantee of a return on their investment.
