Pitcher Joe Kennedy died early Friday, apparently from
a brain aneurysm, according to a major-league source. Kennedy,
28, spent seven years in the majors, pitching for the A's, Diamondbacks and Blue Jays last season. As a free agent, he was not affiliated with any team for 2008. Kennedy had a career record of 43-61 with a 4.79 ERA. He reached the postseason once, as a reliever with the A's ...
Brandon Webb is off to another great start-
8-0, with a 2.41 ERA. His insane ground ball
rate (63.2%) has allowed him to give up only 2 homers over 56 innings. On the surface, this is very similar to 2006, when he started off 8-0 with a 2.18 ERA. In ...

If you were to believe all the hype
today, it appears as though the Cleveland Indians have
moved past the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Dan Haren-sweepstakes. Yesterday, Ken Rosenthal upped the ante on a potential Indians’ deal that would send Aaron Laffey, Adam Miller and Asdrubal Cabrera, for Haren. Oakland seems to be hanging the deal on ACab, who would immediately bolster the A’s infield...
