	<description>&lt;p&gt; If this offseason is anything like last offseason -- and it just might be, given the continuing economic problems in the real world -- the free-agent market will take quite awhile to develop. That means plenty of quality players will be available deep into the offseason. 
 And that isn&#39;t a bad thing. 
 As a last-minute signing, outfielder Bobby Abreu, perhaps motivated by the lack on interest in him, became the best bargain of last year&#39;s free-agent class. The Angels snagged him for one year and $5 million. He then proceeded to hit .293 with a .390 on-base percentage, 15 homers, 103 RBIs, 96 runs scored and 20 stolen bases. His impact on his new Angels teammates was profound -- Los Angeles went from one of the least patient teams at the plate to one of the most patient. As a result, the Angels wasted no time re-signing Abreu to a two-year, $19 million deal (with a $9 million option for 2012) this offseason.
